Maintenance Engineer

Overview
We are currently looking for a capable and motivated Maintenance Engineer to become part of our established engineering team. The primary focus of this position is to maintain site machinery effectively, ensuring continuous production while adhering to all safety and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining the performance and reliability of factory equipment. Your duties will include:
- Reacting quickly to equipment failures and carrying out repairs with minimal disruption to production
- Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance in line with planned schedules
- Following all site Health & Safety policies alongside company quality procedures
- Accurately recording maintenance activities within our system (APP), including fault details, corrective actions, and parts utilised
- Assisting with the organisation, storage, and identification of spare parts to maintain effective stock control
- Highlighting and reporting any follow-up or remedial work identified through inspections or observations
- Completing planned maintenance tasks efficiently and to a high standard
- Communicating effectively with the Maintenance Manager and Assistant Manager regarding issues, risks, or potential improvements
- Contributing to team development by supporting and mentoring other engineers where required
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a practical, detail-focused individual who takes a proactive approach to maintenance. You should be able to demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a maintenance engineering position, ideally within a manufacturing or production setting
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities
- Familiarity with Health & Safety regulations and quality compliance standards
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload under pressure
- Experience using computerised maintenance systems (such as APP or similar platforms)
- A forward-thinking attitude with a focus on continuous improvement
- A Level 3 qualification (or above) in either mechanical or electrical engineering

Monday to Friday on a rotating 2-shift pattern:
Night Shift
- 22:00 Mon | 22:00 Tues | 22:00 Wed | 22:00 Thurs | 00:30 Mon
- 06:00 Mon | 06:00 Tues | 06:00 Wed | 06:00 Thurs | 06:00 Fri
Late Shift
- 14:00 Mon | 14:00 Tues | 14:00 Wed | 14:00 Thurs | 11:30 Fri
- 22:00 Mon | 22:00 Tues | 22:00 Wed | 22:00 Thurs | 17:00 Fri
