We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Assistant to join the Redemptions Team within our Operations function on a part-time, permanent basis.

The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the fastest moving and largest departments at The Cumberland. Working within Redemptions will provide you with an environment to build and grow your skill set.
You’ll also be involved in:
- Managing the end-to-end mortgage redemption process, from production of settlement figures to ensuring accounts are redeemed and closed accurately.
- Completing all post redemption activities including the release of securities with HM Land Registry or Registers of Scotland and releasing the title deeds and other documentation.
- Receiving, reviewing and managing title deeds and legal documentation for new mortgage accounts.
- Dealing with Second Charge Consent requests and registration.
- Acting as an authorised signatory, executing legal documentation and deeds under delegated authority from the board.
- Managing the workload across residential, commercial, broker mortgage lending as well as across both English and Scottish jurisdiction requirements.
- Supporting the New Cumberland transformation programme as required.
- Team Members to become multi skilled and agile.
You’ll have a love of process improvements; developing and implementing new ways of working to ensure processes are simplified, streamlined and cost effective.
About you
You’ll have an understanding of CBS operational areas with specific focus on mortgage operations and redemptions and the ability to communicate with people at all levels to build and sustain relationships within the business as well as external solicitors and 3rd party providers.
You’ll be adept at progressing complex tasks both as part of a team and on your own initiative. You’ll also have a drive and determination to learn new systems and processes.
