Duties
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of brunch dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow
- Oversee food production processes, maintaining consistency in quality and presentation
- Manage food safety protocols, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
- Assist in menu planning and development to introduce innovative brunch offerings
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment in compliance with health regulations
- Lead by example in fostering a positive team atmosphere and encouraging professional development
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Supervising experience with team management skills to motivate and lead kitchen staff effectively
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask during busy service periods
- Leadership qualities with the ability to oversee daily kitchen activities confidently
- Experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff effectively
