Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles using schematics and technical manuals to identify mechanical issues.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical components.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete repairs accurately and efficiently.
- Interpret schematics and mechanical diagrams to troubleshoot complex problems and plan repair procedures.
- Carry out heavy lifting tasks safely when handling large parts or equipment during repairs or maintenance activities.
- Maintain detailed records of all service work performed, including parts used and diagnostics performed.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with vehicle maintenance, repair, or related technical work.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
- Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and troubleshooting methods.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail during diagnostics and repairs.
