Shift Support Operative
Location: Mold, CH7 1XZ
Pay: £16.94 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday – Rotating 3-Week Shift Pattern (39 Hours p/w)

We are currently recruiting Shift Support Operatives to join a high-tech packaging manufacturer based in Mold that has invested in its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.

The Shift Support Operator position will be the starting point, within 3 months, you would be expected to progress to a Shift Production Operator, then, for the candidates that can show a proven ownership for the position, within 2 years you could have the opportunity to become a Shift Technical Operator. All of these progression possibilities will bring an increase in your hourly rate. Further progression within the company will also be available for the candidates that can prove themselves. This will only be achieved by candidates that are willing to put in the effort and who actively turn up for work, punctually, have the correct work attitude and mindset and are willing to learn.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a technical or mechanical background who is looking to develop their skills and progress into other roles within the business.
Duties may include:
- Operating and running production machinery
- Setting and adjusting machines
- Fault finding and identifying basic mechanical/technical issues
- Monitoring production and quality
- Carrying out general production duties
- Following health & safety and production procedures
- Working as part of a team to meet production targets
Working Hours
The role operates on a rolling 3-week rota, Monday to Friday:
- Week 1: 2:00pm – 10:00pm
- Week 2: 6:00am – 2:00pm
- Week 3: 10:00pm – 6:00am
- Fridays: Early finish
What We're Looking For

- Some technical, mechanical or engineering experience/knowledge
- An interest in machinery and manufacturing
- Good problem-solving and fault-finding skills
- A willingness to learn and develop

Own transport is essential due to the location of the factory and the shift pattern.
As part of the recruitment process, candidates will be required to complete a technical online test at offices in Sandycroft.
Starting pay: £16.94 per hour, with opportunities to develop and progress as your skills and experience increase.
