Salary dependant on age and experience ranging from £25,000 - £32,000 PA.
5 out of 7 days per week, including weekends and bank holidays (closed for Easter Sunday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New years day).

Farmhouse Kitchen - 7am - 4pm. Rose Cottage Cafe 8am-6pm.

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management, with a focus on delivering exceptional dining experiences. We are also open to considering chefs who are starting out in the career. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills, develop and contribute to the success of our establishment.
Candidates with supervisory experience and a solid understanding of food safety standards are highly desirable. The position involves working in a fast-paced environment where creativity, and attention to detail are essential.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Work alongside all kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food production
- To be willing to work across two kitchens onsite, one as part of a team and the other as the solo chef
- Manage food safety protocols and maintain cleanliness in accordance with health regulations
- For those with more experience - Help to oversee food inventory, ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations if required
- Monitor food quality and consistency, making adjustments as necessary
Experience
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- The ideal candidate will have worked as a CDP or Senior CDP
- Supervising experience is highly advantageous, demonstrating leadership capabilities
- Extensive knowledge of food production, cooking techniques, and presentation skills
- Strong background in food safety standards and regulations
- Experience in team management, including training and performance oversight
- Familiarity with restaurant operations and customer service practices
- Previous involvement in food preparation, culinary innovation, and serving guests is preferred
