We are looking for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our team.

We require an organised individual who can work at a fast pace, likes to get things done, and who will be a confident and effective communicator both verbally and written. You must have a full working knowledge of Microsoft Office components, with the ability to work on your own initiative or as part of a team.
Duties
Cost Estimation & Budgeting
- Assist in cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting for refurbishment projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with financial objectives.
- Support the development of cost estimates, considering materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor rates.
Contract & Procurement Support
- Assist in the preparation of contracts, negotiating terms under senior supervision.
- Work alongside senior estimators and quantity surveyors to support procurement strategies.
Value Engineering & Risk Mitigation
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or project objectives.
- Support the analysis of financial risks associated with project estimates.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Maintain strong professional relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Assist in providing clear and accurate cost reports to internal and external stakeholders.
Performance Monitoring
- Support the tracking of project costs, identifying variations and ensuring effective financial management.
- Assist in monitoring project expenditure against budgets and agreed forecasts.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, HNC, or HND in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Working towards professional certification (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is desirable.
Experience:
- Some experience (placement, internship, or work experience) in estimating or quantity surveying within the interior fit-out, refurbishment, or construction industry.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in cost estimation software, (Bluebeam), advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with construction management systems (Powerproject)
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
