Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and within their own homes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting with daily activities, ensuring residents' comfort, safety, and well-being. Duties
- Assist residents or clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as required
- Maintain accurate care plans and document any changes in residents’ conditions
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance residents’ quality of life
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for all
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to coordinate care needs
- Assist with light domestic duties to maintain a clean and comfortable living space
- Support clients in attending appointments or engaging in social activities outside the care setting
Skills
- Experience working within a care home is essential. Minimum 1 year
- Ability to understand and follow detailed care plans accurately
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Basic IT skills for recording notes and updating care records efficiently
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with residents and their families
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to help others
- Organised approach to managing multiple responsibilities effectively

36 hours per week, 12 hour shifts: 8am -8pm including alternate weekends, as per rota.
Pay: From £13.00 per hour
