SC Galaxy Care is a CQC-rated Good home care provider specialising in complex care and community support across South East London.
We are looking for compassionate, reliable and professional Complex Care Assistants to join our growing team. This is an opportunity to support adults with complex health needs to live safely, comfortably and independently in their own homes while developing specialist clinical care skills.
We currently provide care in:
- Catford (SE6)
- Sydenham (SE26)
- East Dulwich (SE22)
- Bermondsey (SE1)
- Other South East London locations
Shifts are available across weekdays, weekends, days, evenings, waking nights and long shifts.
About the Role
As a Complex Care Assistant, you will support individuals with a wide range of health conditions and disabilities, delivering high-quality care tailored to their individual needs.
You will work as part of a dedicated team, helping clients maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life while ensuring their health and wellbeing needs are met.
Duties may include:
- Personal care and support with daily living activities
- Supporting clients with mobility and transfers
- Medication support
- PEG feeding
- Tracheostomy care
- Cough Assist therapy
- Epilepsy support and seizure management
- Ventilation and respiratory support
- Oral and airway suctioning
- Catheter care
- Stoma care
- Moving and handling using specialist equipment
- Supporting clients to access their community and maintain social connections
- Recording observations and maintaining accurate care records
- Reporting concerns and changes in condition promptly

Essential Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience working within health and social care
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Ability to complete clear, accurate and professional care records
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to work in the UK
Desirable Experience
Experience in any of the following areas would be advantageous:
- Complex care
- PEG feeding
- Tracheostomy care
- Ventilation support
- Cough Assist
- Epilepsy management
- Acquired brain injury
- Catheter care
- Stoma care
- Oral or airway suctioning
- Hoisting and moving and handling
- Nursing or Healthcare Assistant experience
Training can be provided to the right candidate where appropriate.
