Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Sales & Projects Estimator to join our team at our head office in Cranbrook, this role is vital in supporting our sales process and project planning by providing accurate estimates and excellent customer engagement. Your contribution will help us maintain our reputation for quality and reliability in the door/security sector.
Overall purpose of the role:
The role encompasses the following areas of activity/responsibility:
- To assist in proactively managing day to day tasks including reviewing and dealing with new enquiries, producing, issuing, managing quotes and raising jobs as part of their responsibility for delivering a consistent level of high completion of from initial stage of enquiry request through to handover and job booking
- Assisting and supporting with new and ongoing project works
Objectives of the role:
This is a full-time role (40 hours per week). Core hours for the support team are 08:00 – 17:00 but flexibility is expected to meet the needs of the service.
Reporting to the Sales & Projects Manager, our aim is to deliver a dynamic role that provides flexibility, interest and variety whilst working within a small/focused sales & projects team within our wider friendly and professional team.
Duties would be varied and time managed to allow:
- Dealing with, raising and processing new enquiries from both existing and new clients
- Producing and issuing quotes/estimates to clients
- Working closely with engineers regarding the scope of works including parts and labour requirements
- Converting quotes to jobs and handover to our service desk team
- Managing enquiries and quotes to a high level, updating and recording all details via our in-house software and database
- Communicating effectively and professionally with clients and suppliers by email and telephone
- Ensuring clients are kept well informed and up to date on the progress of quotes and manage client expectations in respect of timescales etc.
- Providing support and assistance on new and ongoing project works working closely with our Sales & Project Manager.
- Ensure all estimates comply with company standards and client specifications.
Requirements of the role:
- Strong attention to detail, communication skills with verifiable strengths with word, excel, outlook etc
- Strong organisational skills and able to prioritise workload effectively
- Experience in a similar role, dealing with client enquiries, producing and issuing quotes
- To work effectively and collaboratively as part of a small, friendly team
- An experience and knowledge in Architectural Ironmongery with GAI qualifications and/or Fire doors would be desirable but not essential
- An experience and knowledge of CLIK Service software would be desirable but not essential
Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
