Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide attentive, personalized service to enhance their café experience
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and specialty beverages with precision and care
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, salads, or baked goods when needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front counter, dining area, and service stations
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems and manage customer payments efficiently
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure hygiene standards are consistently met
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining quality standards
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or familiarity with coffee preparation is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
- Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure safe handling and serving of food and beverages
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating excellent communication skills
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and transaction processing accurately
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Basic food preparation skills to assist with light kitchen duties when necessary
- A positive attitude, reliability, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service
