Job Summary
We are seeking reliable Self Employed Delivery Drivers to join our home delivery team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent driving skills, strong communication abilities and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
This role involves involves heavy lifting, a sack barrow and lifting straps are provided.
Work hours can vary between 7-11 hour shifts per day and work is available up to 7 days per week, we are ideally looking for someone who wants to work a minimum of 6 days per week, although this is not expected every single week. Van, fuel and uniform will all be provided for for the role.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 3.5 tonne Luton vehicle, ensuring adherence to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload goods
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition and report back to management any issues.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns during the delivery process.
- Assist in the warehouse as needed, including organisation of goods and loading of vehicle.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
- Valid driving licence with a clean driving record (no more than 6 points)
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for loading and unloading goods.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with office staff and customers.
