Due to internal promotions within the company, we're looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, and inspiring Nursery Deputy Manager to join our friendly team at our Huthwaite Setting. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate childcare professional who is ready to progress into a leadership role while making a real difference to the lives of young children and their families.
Working alongside our Nursery Manager, you'll help lead a dedicated team, maintain outstanding standards of care and education, and create a warm, nurturing environment where both children and staff can thrive. In the Manager's absence, you'll confidently take the lead, ensuring the nursery continues to run smoothly.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the Nursery Manager to lead, motivate, and inspire the nursery team.
- Creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for children aged 0–5 years.
- Building positive, trusting relationships with parents and carers, keeping them involved in their child's learning journey.
- Supporting the day-to-day organisation of the nursery, including admissions and staff deployment.
- Promoting high-quality learning through the EYFS framework and embedding best practice across the setting.
- Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and all statutory requirements.
- Identifying training opportunities and supporting the ongoing development of the team.
- Taking full responsibility for the nursery's daily operations, staffing, organisation, and systems in the Manager's absence.
About You
You'll be:
- An experienced early years professional with supervisory or leadership experience.
- Passionate about delivering exceptional childcare and supporting children to thrive.
- Confident in leading, motivating, and developing a team.
- Knowledgeable about the EYFS and current safeguarding practices.
- An excellent communicator with strong organisational skills.
- Qualified to Level 3 in Early Years (or above).
- Positive, approachable, and committed to creating an outstanding experience for children, families, and colleagues.
