We are looking for an organised, proactive and compassionate Commissioning Officer to join our Complex Individualised Care team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by securing high-quality, timely and cost-effective care packages for children, young people and adults with complex health and care needs.
Working closely with clinical teams, local authorities, providers, hospitals and families, you will coordinate the commissioning of individual packages of care that promote positive outcomes while ensuring value for money. You'll build strong partnerships, negotiate with providers, manage competing priorities and contribute to the continuous improvement of commissioning processes across the service.
This varied role suits someone who enjoys problem-solving, relationship building and working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. You'll be supported by an experienced team committed to collaboration, learning and delivering person-centred care.

Coordinate t he commissioning of high-quality, timely and cost-effective packages of care for children and adults with complex needs.
Work collaboratively with clinical teams, hospital discharge teams, local authorities, care providers, patients and families to secure appropriate placements.
Negotiate care package costs with providers, ensuring value for money while meeting assessed needs and maintaining quality standards.
Build positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support effective commissioning and service delivery.
Manage commissioning, funding and provider queries, ensuring contracts, documentation and records are accurate and up to date.
Maintain patient and commissioning information using relevant systems, ensuring compliance with organisational policies
Participate in multi-agency meetings, contributing to care planning and safe, timely discharge arrangements.
Use sound judgement to resolve complex issues, escalate concerns appropriately and support safeguarding responsibilities.
Prioritise a varied workload, respond to changing demands and contribute to continuous service improvement to achieve positive outcomes for individuals.
