We are investing in growth and are looking for an ambitious Sales Manager to lead our London & South East operation.
The Opportunity
This is a player-manager role.
Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will lead and develop a young, enthusiastic sales team whilst managing your own portfolio of customers and driving profitable growth across both existing and new business opportunities.
You will be responsible for creating a high-performance culture built around accountability, activity, customer service and results. We are looking for a resilient, commercially-minded leader who leads from the front, embraces challenge and enjoys developing people.
For the right individual, this role offers genuine opportunity to take on broader commercial leadership responsibilities as the business continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of 4 sales professionals.
- Deliver sales and gross profit targets.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of customer accounts.
- Drive new business acquisition and account development.
- Coach and develop team members to improve performance.
- Create a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Build strong customer and supplier relationships.
- Utilise CRM and ERP systems to manage opportunities and performance.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience leading and developing B2B sales teams.
- Demonstrable track record of sales growth and commercial success.
- Proven ability to win new business and develop existing accounts.
- Experience balancing leadership responsibilities with personal sales performance.
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Resilient, driven and results-focused.
- Comfortable challenging constructively and leading change.
- Industry experience within sign, display, graphics, print or distribution sectors desirable.
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or similar ERP systems desirable.
