The Role
We are looking for a reliable and organised Kitchen Assistant to support our Nursery Cook with the day-to-day running of the kitchen across both buildings.
This role is focused on consistency, hygiene and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
You will play an important part in ensuring children receive their meals safely, on time and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
- Transport meals safely between the two nursery buildings
- Distribute food to classrooms in line with timings and requirements
- Reheat food where required, following food safety guidance
- Ensure food is stored correctly, including labelling and dating
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen areas
- Wash up and manage pots, utensils and equipment
- Monitor stock rotation and highlight any issues to the Cook
- Follow all food hygiene, health and safety procedures

What the Role Looks Like Day to Day
This is a short-hours role that fits around key meal times. 1200 - 1600
It involves being efficient, keeping things in order, and making sure nothing is missed.
