Job Specification
· Report directly to the Owner
· Control and direct the food preparation process and any other related activities
- Controls costs by reviewing portion control and quantities of preparation, minimizing waste, ensuring high quality of preparation
· · Approve and quality control dishes before they reach the customer
· Remedy any problems or defects
· Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards, ensuring that all kitchen staff comply to this standard
· Create a positive working atmosphere within the kitchen ensuring that all staff are treated with respect and without discrimination
- Maximise profitability by ensuring portion control, monitoring accuracy of stock reports
Responsibilities
· Coordinate the entire kitchen operation, from produce ordering to closing the kitchen down each day
· Deliver superior food services and ensure absolute customer satisfaction
· Respond efficiently to customer complaints
· Enforce and offer the best quality of products possible
· · Appraise personnel’s performance and provide feedback to keep them upbeat and productive
· Estimate consumption, forecast requirements and maintain inventory
· Track compliance with sanitation and safety rules and regulations
· Control costs and cut waste
· Successfully promote and publicise the brand
· Nurture a positive working environment and lead by example as chef
· Track operations and start corrective actions
