Debach Enterprises Ltd offer warehousing and distribution services locally and nationwide. Located in Ransomes Europark, we provide the ultimate logistics service.
Reporting to the Operations Manager and working on behalf of the Palletforce network, we are recruiting for a Class 2 driver to deliver to postcodes IP1 - IP19 with the occasional collection of goods.
Driver CPC required.
LGV main duties:
- Deliveries shunting around the Suffolk area or as directed by our Transport office.
- Carry out multidrop deliveries.
- Complete Daily Vehicle Checks.
- Compliance with Driving (road) Regulations.
- Compliance with the Working Time Directive.
- Compliance with Tachograph Regulations.
- Compliance with Health and Safety Regulations.
- Safely operate the truck transporting /collecting/delivering goods.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 2 Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) for multiple daily deliveries across designated routes
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with road regulations
- Load and unload goods with care, adhering to proper handling procedures, especially when working with flatbed or specialized equipment
- Deliver goods accurately to customer/business locations, ensuring all items are accounted for and properly secured during transit
- Maintain clear communication with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route adjustments, or any issues encountered on the road
- Complete all necessary delivery documentation accurately and promptly, including delivery logs and checklists
- Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and others
About You:
We are looking for someone with a positive and friendly manner to join our transport department and busy team.
You must be helpful and reliable with a can do attitude whilst having a good eye for detail.
Working an 8-12 hour shift Monday to Friday with a start time of 06:30am.
Driver CPC.
Multi-drop experience preferred but not essential
Physical Demands:
- Loading and unloading goods
- Use of a tail lift & pallet truck
- Opening and closing of vehicle curtains
- General daily operations including sweeping of trailer decks
