We're looking for a Finance Director to join our London and Thames Valley team based in Chiswell St, London.
Location: Chiswell St, London - hybrid working available with travel to offices and sites as required
Hours: 37.5 per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

This is a pivotal leadership position within Kier Construction's London and Thames Valley business unit. As Finance Director, you'll provide strategic financial leadership across a growing portfolio of major regional schemes worth up to £300m, working in sectors including healthcare, defence, science and technology. You'll be central to shaping commercial decision-making, driving performance, and positioning the business to capitalise on exciting opportunities across the construction sector.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Finance Director, you'll be working within the London and Thames Valley senior leadership team, supporting them in delivering sustained financial performance and strategic growth. Your day to day will include:
- Providing strategic financial leadership and shaping the financial strategy aligned to regional and group objectives
- Partnering with the Managing Director and Commercial Director to deliver the business plan and manage stakeholder relationships
- Maximising profit, cash and operational efficiency across projects and frameworks while driving robust bid strategies
- Embedding strong financial governance, compliance and audit standards with high-quality reporting and risk management
- Building, developing and inspiring high-performing, inclusive teams whilst championing personal development and technical excellence
What are we looking for?
This role of Finance Director is great for you if:
- You hold a degree in Finance or Accounting and are ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
- You have significant finance leadership experience across multiple disciplines including FP&A, Business Partnering and financial control
- You're an emotionally intelligent, people-centred leader who can set clear goals and inspire teams to deliver
- You have a demonstrable track record of leading large construction project portfolios with varied contractual mechanisms
- You're a collaborative influencer who can navigate complex stakeholder landscapes and drive margin and opportunity with creativity and focus
