Opportunity to join a new bar serving something different in Ebbw Vale town centre to provide a quality customer experience.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bar Staff to ensure an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality, with a passion for beverage service. As a team member, you will be responsible for overseeing bar operations, working seamlessly with other team members/music partners, and maintaining high standards of service and quality whilst supporting the owner with all tasks from collecting stock lists, cleaning, serving customers on bar or to their table, leading private party bookings, creating new cocktail recipes and sharing ideas on how to continuously improve the venue and customers experience. In this role you will be given opportunities to be involved in all aspects of venue operations such as social media, booking bands and DJs, creating processes and procedures so no two days will be same.
You will report to the owner of venue and have the opportunity to shape the business - for the ambitious this will not be a boring role; as the business grows so will you. The role also offers potential career path to management by evidencing you can take on more responsibility by helping to manage a specific part of the business successfully.
Initial Duties
- Monitor daily bar operations, ensuring that you adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Be helpful, foster a positive team environment and promote excellent customer service.
- Be accountable for the 'perfect serve' with beer, spirits cocktail preparation and presentation in accordance with food safety regulations, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the bar area.
- Monitor inventory levels of beverages and supplies, assisting the owner to place orders as necessary to meet demand.
- Be creative by developing drink menus and specials to enhance the guest experience.
- Monitor customer satisfaction, addressing any issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a hospitality role within a bar or restaurant setting.
- Availability on Fridays and Saturdays until late
- Knowledge on how to change beer barrels, beer gas beneficial but training can be provided
- Aware of the basics for running a licensed venue and able to explain the consequences of waste whilst understanding the importance of efficiency.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience as a barista or knowledge of coffee preparation is beneficial but not essential.

Pay: £10.85-£13.00 per hour
