We are looking for a site manager at our Hinckley site.
This position will require you to control the day to day operational aspects of the site. This is a hands-on role and will involve amongst other things, transport planning, bookings into site, staffing. A strong on-site presence is essential to the success of the role. You will have Full P & L responsibility, and be responsible for for team development and morale
Training and support will be provided wherever necessary.
Duties and responsibilites
Ø Ensuring all health and safety practices are adhered to and continually improved
Ø Ensuring full compliance with site permits
Ø Partial P & L responsibility including purchasing, waste disposal and infrastructure spend
Ø Ensuring on site processes and routes are maximized at all times
Ø Stock control and maintenance below permit levels
Ø Full HSE awareness across all site operations
Ø Working closely with the Assistant Manager with regards to organization of site staff to ensure the safe and efficient day to day running of the site
Ø Liaising with local and national authorities – EA, HSE etc
Ø Assisting with the planning for the future growth of the site, and Company as a whole
Ø Responsibility for control of contractors, plant maintenance, staff development, shift planning and all other requirements as per the needs of the business
Ø Ensure routine and non-routine plant maintenance and all associated safety checks are up to date and pre-empted.
Ø Full responsibility for organization of staffing including, recruitment, shift planning, training requirements, holiday cover, and disciplinary measures necessary to ensure the safe, compliant, and productive running of the Hinckley facility
Ø Ensuring the team is developed in terms of training and career pathways, and that team morale is affected in a positive way at all times
25 Days holidays + 8 Bank holidays
Degree in Chemistry or related subject essential.
Pay: From £45,000.00 per year
