We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. The role involves providing essential support to residents in care homes or individuals receiving home care services. Responsibilities
- Assisting residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Supporting the implementation of personalised care plans in accordance with individual needs
- Monitoring and recording residents’ health status and reporting any concerns to senior staff
- Providing companionship and emotional support to residents or clients
- Assisting with meal preparation and feeding when necessary
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment in line with health and safety regulations
- Driving or accompanying residents on outings or appointments, where applicable
- Communicating effectively with team members, residents, and their families to ensure coordinated care
Skills
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well within a team and independently when required
- Strong organisational skills to follow care plans accurately
- Basic IT skills for recording information electronically and updating care records
- Driving licence is desirable for roles involving home care or transportation of residents
- Experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential
- Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in supporting others’ wellbeing
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
