Specialist Women s Criminal Justice Practitioner
Covering Solihull and occasional travel to Coventry (you will need access to a car)
Monday - Friday 9am - 4.30pm (35 hours)

Due to the nature of this role, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the post-holder to be female, in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.
Our Specialist Women s Criminal Justice Practitioner`s work with women one-to-one and in groups, helping them with things like housing, money, family, mental health, and recovery. You ll meet some women at the prison gate on the day they re released. You ll go with them to appointments, speak up for them when they need them, and connect them with support in the local community.
No two days will be the same ?" and that s the point!
The women you support will often be dealing with a lot at once ?" debt, unstable housing, difficult relationships, dependency, or trauma. They may have had a tough time trusting services in the past.
Your job is to meet them where they are, build trust, and help them find a way forward. They are resilient, capable people. You ll help them see that.
You might be right for this role if you...
- Have experience supporting people with ?" debt, unstable housing, difficult relationships, dependency, or trauma (paid or voluntary)
- Have access to a car and are willing to travel across Solihull and to Coventry when required.
- Care deeply about people and don t give up easily
- Can build trust with someone who may not trust people
- Stay calm and focused in difficult situations
- Believe everyone deserves a second chance
