About Us
Embrace Inspire Support & Care Services is a CQC-registered domiciliary care provider based in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire. We support adults aged 18–65 living with autism, learning difficulties, sensory impairment, and physical disabilities to live independently and confidently in their own homes and communities. We're growing our team and looking for compassionate, reliable Support Workers to join us.
The Role
As a Support Worker, you'll provide person-centred care and support to our clients in their own homes, helping them live as independently as possible while respecting their choices, dignity, and individuality. This role involves working closely alongside one individual to begin with, rather than multiple short calls - giving you the chance to build a genuine, consistent relationship and really get to know their needs, routines, and preferences.
We don't do short, in-and-out calls. Our support is built around longer, meaningful visits - including community access, days out, and activities - not popping in for an hour at a time.
Duties include:
- Supporting clients with personal care, including washing, dressing, and continence care
- Grocery shopping, meal preparation, and prompting hydration
- Medication support and administration
- Supporting community access and social activities
- Accompanying to medical, dental, or other appointments and liaising with healthcare professionals
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic home environment, including bathrooms and bedrooms
- Supporting daily living skills, encouraging independence, and developing new skills
- Supporting communication needs
- Support with hobbies, interests, and leisure activities
- Supporting with managing money and budgeting
- Providing overnight sleep-in support where required
- Following safeguarding procedures and reporting any concerns
- Building trusted, respectful relationships with clients and their families
- Maintaining accurate records and care notes in line with the individual's support plan, including any changes in wellbeing
Location, Hours & Pay
- Location: Gainsborough (office base just outside town)
- Hours: Full-time 30–48 hrs/week or Part-time 20–29 hrs/week (inclusive of any sleep-in shifts) - minimum hours guaranteed
- Pay: £12.71–£14.71 per hour (depending on experience)
- Sleep-ins are paid at a flat £80 per night (10pm-7am), in addition to your hourly pay, offering good extra earning potential
- Mileage: paid at £0.30 per mile
- Some Weekend work is required as part of the rota, along with a minimum of one sleep-in per week.
What You'll Need
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential)
- Right to work in the UK
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check (funded by us)
- A caring, patient, and reliable approach
- Previous care experience or a Diploma in Health and Social Care (Level 2/3) or equivalent
