Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team. Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to minimise downtime.
- Diagnose faults using schematics and technical manuals, implementing effective repair solutions promptly.
- Perform electrical work, including wiring, troubleshooting, and repairs, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Carry out welding tasks as required to repair or modify equipment components.
- Utilise programme logic controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot and modify automated systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and maintenance manuals accurately.
- Lead maintenance teams during shift changes or specific projects, supervising tasks to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for reporting purposes.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to internal requests for maintenance support.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in maintenance roles with a strong understanding of electrical systems and mechanical components.
- Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematics interpretation.
- Skilled in welding techniques with relevant certification preferred.
- Electrical experience including wiring, troubleshooting, and safety protocols is essential.
- Mechanical knowledge applicable to machinery repair and upkeep.
- Demonstrated leadership or supervising experience within a maintenance environment.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Customer service orientation with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
