Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work with various materials, particularly box metal and MID welding. This role involves interpreting technical drawings and specifications to produce high-quality components and assemblies. The successful applicant will demonstrate mechanical knowledge and proficiency in using both power and hand tools.
Duties
- Fabricate and weld steel legs according to specifications and technical drawings.
- Perform MIG welding as required.
- Cut metal to precise measurements prior to welding
- Assemble parts and structures, ensuring accuracy and quality throughout the process.
- Utilise various power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Conduct routine inspections of finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and resolve any fabrication issues.
Experience
- Proven experience in steel fabrication and welding is essential.
- Proven experience welding legs and frames for furniture
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings.
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Familiarity with various welding techniques, particularly MIG welding, is desirable.
- Experience using power tools and hand tools in a fabrication environment is advantageous.
