We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Science Technician to join our Science Department.
This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of high-quality practical science education across the curriculum. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing and maintaining equipment, materials and resources for science lessons, ensuring that practical activities are delivered safely and effectively.
Working closely with teaching staff, the Science Technician will help create an engaging learning environment that enables all students to succeed in science.

ROLE SPECIFICATION – Science Technician
Job Title: Science Technician
Salary: Grade 4 SCP 5 - SCP 6 -£13,103.97 to £13,311.93
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only.
Working Hours: 22.5hours per week with a 30-minute unpaid break
Days to be worked must be a Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday 8am to 4pm to include a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
(There is the possibility that the hours can be worked over 4 days but must include Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday).
Reporting to: Head of Science/Senior Science Technician
Closing Date: 9:00am on Wednesday 1st July 2026
Interviews: To be held week commencing Monday 13th July 2026
Start Date: 2nd September 2026
Purpose of the Role:
- To support teachers in the delivery of their lessons by setting up resources and apparatus
- Ensure all teaching materials are organised and available
- Ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
