Job Summary
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of safety and customer service. Responsibilities
- Operate fridge lorries and other HGV vehicles in compliance with all legal and company regulations
- Safely load, secure, and unload cargo, ensuring it is transported without damage
- Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery schedules and minimise delays
- Conduct pre-journey safety inspections of the vehicle and report any issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with legal requirements
- Adhere to all road safety laws and company policies during every journey
- Communicate professionally with clients, warehouse staff, and dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules or issues
- NO Assist with loading or unloading
Skills
- Any minimum class 1 experience as a commercial driver
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving licence (C+E entitlement)
- Knowledge of current road regulations and safety standards within the UK
- Excellent organisational skills to manage schedules efficiently
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients
- Prior experience in delivery driving is highly desirable, along with familiarity with route planning software

Pay: £160.00-£170.00 per day
