Maintenance Electrician – Shopping Centre
Location: OX1
Salary: Up to £45,000 + CBRE benefits package
The leading FM provider in the country looking for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join its team at the prestigious shopping centre in Oxford. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of one of the UK's leading facilities management providers, working within a modern, fast-paced retail environment that offers plenty of variety and long-term career prospects.
Working as part of a team of 12 engineers (when fully staffed), you'll be responsible for carrying out both planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across the site. This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a broad building services position rather than purely electrical work.
Shift Pattern
Week 1
- Monday to Wednesday: 7:00am – 7:00pm
- Thursday & Friday: Off
- Saturday & Sunday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Week 2
- Monday to Wednesday: Off
- Thursday & Friday: 7:00am – 7:00pm
- Saturday & Sunday: Off
This shift pattern provides regular extended periods off while offering a healthy work-life balance.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planned preventative and reactive electrical maintenance.
- Fault finding, repairs and testing on a range of electrical systems.
- Supporting the wider engineering team with general building services maintenance.
- Carrying out basic plumbing, fabric maintenance and other multi-skilled tasks where required.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with health and safety procedures.
- Delivering a high standard of service within a busy retail environment.
What We're Looking For
- Level 3 Electrical qualification.
- Ideally qualified to the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Candidates holding 17th Edition will also be considered depending on experience and overall suitability.
- Previous experience within commercial building maintenance or facilities management is desirable.
- A flexible, team-focused approach with a willingness to undertake a variety of maintenance tasks beyond electrical work.
