Duties
- Assess damaged vehicle bodies to determine the scope of repairs needed
- Use hand tools and power tools to remove dents, straighten frames, and replace panels
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to move large parts or damaged sections of vehicles
- Prepare surfaces by sanding, grinding, or stripping paint before applying repairs or new coatings
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the repair process to ensure high standards are maintained
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate repair schedules and ensure timely completion
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times
Experience
- Proven experience in vehicle body repair or collision repair work
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle structures and components
- Skilled in using hand tools such as hammers, pry bars, and chisels effectively
- Proficient with power tools including grinders, drills, and sanders
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repairs
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to automotive repair environments
- Prior experience working with various vehicle makes and models is a plus
