Hours: Approximately 10 hours per week

IOMI Supported Living is looking for a friendly and dedicated Care Worker to join our team in Shrewsbury.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work directly with people we support, helping them build confidence, develop independence and get the most out of their everyday lives.
Responsibilities
You will provide person-centred support and encouragement, helping the people we support to live as independently as possible.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting individuals with everyday activities and independent living skills
- Encouraging and supporting community involvement and activities
- Accompanying individuals to appointments and activities where required
- Supporting people to work towards their personal goals
- Building positive, trusting and professional relationships
- Providing practical and emotional support
- Promoting choice, dignity, independence and wellbeing
- Maintaining appropriate records and following care/support plans
- Working alongside colleagues and other professionals when required
- Following safeguarding, health and safety and organisational policies

Please note that previous experience working with vulnerable adults is essential.
