We are looking for a hands-on Service Leader to support the Bakery Manager and take a lead role in our bread production. This is an important position within the bakery team, helping to ensure our breads and bakery products are made to a consistently high standard, production runs smoothly, and customers receive fresh, high-quality products every day.
Main responsibilities
- Take the lead in day-to-day bread production, ensuring products are made to agreed standards, schedules and customer demand.
- Support the Bakery Manager with the smooth running of the bakery and step up to lead the department when required.
- Lead bakery shifts, supervise colleagues and help create a positive, productive working environment.
- Produce a range of high-quality bakery items, including breads, cakes, biscuits, traybakes and pastries.
- Maintain excellent standards of food quality, presentation, consistency, cleanliness and customer service.
- Follow production plans and help improve productivity, efficiency and quality across the bakery.
- Uphold food safety, hygiene, HACCP and health and safety standards, including completing required checks and documentation.
- Train, coach and support new and existing team members, including through induction and ongoing development.
- Work collaboratively with the wider bakery team and attend planning meetings when needed.
