Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and energetic HGV Class 2 Driver to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for palletising goods, loading lorry, delivery of goods & collecting goods. Returning the lorry clean. Valid drivers card and up to date CPC essential.
Duties
- Safely operate a Class 2 Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) with deliveries of seafood products being a priority
- Load, secure, and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring all items are handled with care and according to safety standards
- Plan delivery routes to optimize efficiency and punctuality
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections, report any maintenance issues promptly, and adhere to all road safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with customers upon delivery, providing excellent service and assistance as needed
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and records in compliance with company policies
- Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment at all times
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, with HGV Class 2 license
- Transportation and securing cargo safely during transit
- Strong driving skills with a focus on safety, reliability, and punctuality
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Ability to plan routes efficiently and adapt to changing schedules or conditions
- Previous experience in delivery driver roles involving seafood or perishable goods would be useful
- Occasional Saturday Work required/day off during the week if Saturday worked

Pay: £14.50-£15.50 per hour
