Key Responsibilities
As our Landscape Officer, you will:
- Develop design concepts, masterplans, technical drawings and costings
- Consult with communities and stakeholders to shape meaningful places
- Ensure safe, high-quality delivery of landscape projects
- Explore and secure funding opportunities
- Promote sustainable, biodiverse and innovative design solutions
- Assist with the project management, the procurement and construction phases.
About the role
We’re delivering a programme of innovative environmental improvements across our parks, open spaces and council-managed woodlands. From play to biodiversity enhancements, you’ll shape meaningful schemes that support health, wellbeing and sustainability for our residents and for the environment.
You’ll work with a welcoming team who are passionate about public spaces and the environment who work closely together with key other departments and stakeholders to deliver great outcomes and results.

About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- A qualified Landscape, Urban or Garden designer
- Creative, innovative and passionate about environmental design
- Can lead on community engagement and assist with project management
- Experienced in delivering landscape improvements in public spaces
- A positive member of the team who enjoys working collaboratively
- Committed to sustainability, inclusivity and excellent public service
Additional Requirements
A full UK driving licence is essential, and you should be comfortable working on projects on a variety of sites across Wyre.
