AAT/IAB Tutor (Level 1–4) – Remote & Centre-Based Delivery
Location: Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent / Remote Delivery
Hours: Up to 12 hours per week (flexible, sessional basis depending on learner demand). Delivery may include daytime, evening and occasional Saturday sessions to meet learner needs.
Salary / Rate:
· £30,000 per annum pro rata (employed position, depending on experience and qualifications)
· Self-employed sessional basis also considered (£25–£35 per hour depending on experience and expertise)

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Sessional AAT/IAB Tutor to join our team.
This is a flexible opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys sharing their knowledge and supporting learners. The role will involve delivering AAT/IAB/SAGE qualifications from Level 1 through to Level 4, using a blended delivery model combining online remote teaching with face-to-face sessions at our training centre in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent.
The Role
As a Tutor, you will support learners throughout their qualification journey, helping them develop their technical knowledge, confidence and practical accounting skills.
You will deliver engaging and effective teaching sessions across AAT/IAB/SAGE qualifications, including:
· Online remote learning sessions.
· Face-to-face classroom delivery at our Hanley training centre.
· Supporting learners studying bookkeeping and accounting qualifications from Level 1 to Level 4.
The role would suit an experienced tutor, accountancy lecturer, or finance professional who has a passion for education and enjoys helping others achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities
· Deliver high-quality teaching sessions across Levels 1, 2, 3 and 4.
· Plan and deliver engaging lessons using a range of teaching and learning methods.
· Explain accounting concepts clearly and support learners to apply their knowledge in practical situations.
· Provide guidance, encouragement and constructive feedback to support learner progress and achievement.
· Monitor learner engagement and progress, identifying where additional support may be required.
· Maintain accurate learner records and contribute to quality assurance processes.
· Create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
· Work collaboratively with the ATA team to continuously improve the learner experience.
About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic accounting professional who is passionate about supporting others to achieve their goals.
You will ideally have:
· AAT Level 4 Diploma in Professional Accounting (or equivalent accounting qualification).
· Strong occupational experience within accounting and finance.
· Experience delivering AAT/IAB qualifications or accountancy-related training.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills.
· Confidence delivering both online and face-to-face teaching sessions.
· A supportive, patient and encouraging approach to learner development.
A recognised teaching qualification such as AET/PTLLS, Certificate in Education, DET, PGCE or equivalent would be desirable.
We would also welcome applications from experienced finance professionals who may not currently hold a teaching qualification but have a passion for developing others and are interested in moving into education and training.
Experience of vocational assessment, apprenticeships or supporting adult learners would be advantageous.
