We are seeking a Clinical Standards Lead, a professional role reporting to the Service Delivery Manager. The Post Holder works in close collaboration with the Service Delivery Manager (SDM) to ensure quality and operational Target Performance Levels (TPL's) by providing clinical expertise and judgment. The Post Holder will be called upon to provide clinical support to FA's from Stage 3 according to business needs and requirements. The role requires coaching to new and tenured FAs and delivery of formal training. Use of data and clinical curiosity to implement documented and measured objectives and supportive intervention to sustain individual FA's quality.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Conduct a mix of telephone and face-to-face assessments for DWP benefit claims while maintaining clinical expertise through ongoing hands-on practice.
Mentor and coach HCPs in person or remotely, serve as the first point of contact for clinical questions, and escalate issues as needed while communicating resolutions back to the team.
Analyse clinical information and medical evidence to produce clear, professional reports that support DWP decision-makers in assessing benefit claims.
Conduct recorded assessments as needed and use IT software to support clinical decision-making during examinations.
Collaborate with the Service Delivery Manager to develop best practices, attend regional stakeholder and customer meetings as needed, and audit cases while providing immediate feedback to HCPs.
Deliver Stage 3 and classroom training to new HCPs, conduct live case observations with coaching and feedback, perform ad hoc duties, and review MI to identify quality or performance trends.
Ensure all work meets regulatory, contractual, and clinical governance requirements
Development & Learning
Participate and engage with a structured CSL development pathway
Work towards full CSL competency across quality, productivity, and all other TPL's
Engage in coaching, mentoring, and audit reviews
Actively reflect on feedback and demonstrate measurable improvement
Maintain CPD and CME aligned to professional registration and CSL expectations
Other duties:
Maintain a strong senior clinical presence through on-site or video interactions and foster collaboration to strengthen local relationships with operational colleagues.
Communicate clinical and quality objectives to the team, monitor progress, and provide feedback on key issues, concerns, or future needs to relevant stakeholders.

Maintain high standards in report writing, quality, productivity, and professional conduct.
Conduct sufficient assessments to stay clinically current and support business needs.
Pursue ongoing personal and professional development, including CPD/CME and staying up to date with clinical practice.
Collaborate with colleagues to improve PFAS services while ensuring client and claimant confidentiality and data security.
Comply with all policies, procedures, mandatory training, and other duties appropriate to the role.
Training:
Support HCPs through onboarding, training, and the approval process to achieve timely approval.
Ensure both quality and productivity are maintained and effectively managed.
CSL Induction pathway to be undertaken and clinical practice to be supported by QAL
QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Education and Qualifications:
Physios/OTs : Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) (E)
Paramedics: Paramedic registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) (E)
Nurses: Registered Nurse - Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
Experience & Knowledge:
Proficient in using computer software, including Microsoft Office, with at least 12 months of postgraduate clinical experience.
Experienced in consistently conducting high-quality PIP assessments and performing quality assurance, clinical report checking, or clinical audits.
Experienced in using online reporting systems and databases, interpreting statistics for management and reporting, with an understanding of PFAS operational procedures will be desired.
A proven history of successful delivery of NET Training and Stage 3 coaching (D

Proven ability to meet targets as a PIP assessor and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, building positive relationships with medical and administrative staff.
Have strong oral and written communication skills, with experience in change management, successfully influencing others, negotiating, and adapting positively to a rapidly changing work environment.
Adapts flexibly to unexpected changes, pursues ongoing professional development, and demonstrates a positive attitude as a role model for good practices and behaviour.
Ability to work effectively within a team to achieve positive outcomes for claimants and clients, communicates clearly with internal and external stakeholders, and manages time well to meet deadlines while working independently when required.
Understands client needs, proficient in databases and Microsoft programs, communicates effectively, leads diverse teams, and maintains professionalism under pressure.

Other Information:
Salary: £44,000 - £53,000 per annum (depending on location and experience)
Position: Full-time, permanent role. (Mon - Fri)
Location: Hybrid or Fully Remote available.
