Small Steps Day Nursery – West Kirby is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Early Years Nursery Practitioner to join our well-established nursery in the heart of West Kirby. With excellent transport links via local bus and train routes from Birkenhead and Liverpool, we are easily accessible.

About the Role
You will play a vital role in supporting children’s learning and development during their early years, using your skills and knowledge to help them achieve the very best start in life. Our approach focuses on natural, child-led learning within a calm, spacious environment rich in natural resources.
Requirements
- Minimum Level 2 Early Years qualification (Level 3 or above desirable)
- Proven experience working with children under 5
- Up-to-date knowledge of the EYFS Statutory Framework
- A genuine passion for early childhood education
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Key Responsibilities
- Act as a Key Worker, supporting individual children’s needs and development
- Observe, assess, and plan engaging activities that inspire awe and wonder
- Work collaboratively with the staff team to deliver high-quality care and education
- Ensure safeguarding and children’s welfare are always at the centre of practice
- Bring energy, laughter, and fun into the nursery every day
