Duties
- Assist senior painters and decorators in preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming walls and ceilings.
- Apply paint, varnish, wallpaper, and other finishes with precision and care, following project specifications.
- Support the setup of work areas, including covering furniture and flooring to protect from splashes or debris.
- Operate basic tools and equipment safely under supervision, including brushes, rollers, sprayers, and ladders.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely project completion.
- Maintain a clean work environment by disposing of waste materials properly and storing tools securely.
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Experience
- No prior professional painting or decorating experience is required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential.
- Basic understanding of construction painting techniques is a plus but not mandatory..
- Strong communication skills in English are necessary to understand instructions and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions carefully while maintaining attention to quality standards.
- A proactive attitude with a keen eye for detail will help you excel in this role.
you will Be involved in exciting high end jobs in and around Newcastle helping people transform there homes, getting to jobs locally around Newcastle for 8am mon-friday is a must. you will be working in peoples homes so being polite with good manners is essential. all training will be provided, possible stay aways in London 2/3 times a year.
Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
