Since 2003, Tiny Toes has been providing high-quality childcare in the heart of Hertford. Following our recent expansion, we're excited to welcome a dedicated leader who shares our passion for creating exceptional experiences for children, families and colleagues.

The Role
As Head of Room, you will lead by example, creating an inspiring, nurturing and organised environment where children and staff can thrive.
You will:
- Lead and inspire your room team to deliver outstanding care and education.
- Act as a positive role model, mentoring and supporting practitioners in their professional development.
- Be a Key Person, building strong relationships with children and families.
- Plan, deliver and evaluate engaging learning experiences in line with the EYFS.
- Monitor children's progress and support high-quality observations, assessments and planning.
- Ensure the highest standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and children's welfare.
- Create a stimulating, enabling environment that promotes curiosity and independence.
- Work closely with the management team to drive continuous improvement across the nursery.
- Contribute ideas and initiatives that help our nursery continue to grow and flourish.
About You
We're looking for someone who is passionate about early years and enjoys supporting others to be their best.
You'll ideally have:
- A Level 3 (or above) Early Years qualification.
- Previous experience leading a room or supervising a team within an early years setting.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS, child development and safeguarding requirements.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A warm, positive and proactive approach.
- A commitment to providing exceptional care and learning opportunities.
- Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to complete training).
- Right to work in the UK.
- An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Hours & Salary
- Full-time position (typically 4 days per week)
- Monday to Friday between 8:00am – 6:00pm
- Flexible working patterns considered
- Competitive salary dependent on experience
