Mactech require 2 x Appointed Persons to join a team working on the prefabrication, installation, and erection of piping systems on the mechanical scope at Hinkley Point C.
The APs will be responsible for the planning, execution, and safety of lifting and rigging operations, together with supervising all aspects of the operations on the outdoor pipework layout area at site.
Suitable candidates must have:
Minimum 10 years’ experience working in a similar role
Level 3 Diploma in Moving Loads OR Erecting Engineering Construction Capital Plant Steel Structures OR Engineering Construction Lifting, Positioning and Installing Structures, Plant & Equipment
Appointed Person – Moving Loads OR CPCS A61Appointed Person
LATS OR SSSTS OR IOSH Managing Safely
CCNSG Safety Passport
Enrolment onto ILM Level 3 Certificate C&BE plus completion of Nuclear Unit OR Nuclear Engineering Construction Supervisor (NECS)
Experience in creating lift plans
Experience in AutoCad
Working Arrangements:
10/4 Rotation
Days: 9 x 10-hour shifts (Tuesday to Wednesday) & 1 x 6-hour shift every second Thursday
Nights: 9 x 11-hour shifts (Tuesday to Wednesday) & 1 x 6-hour shift every second Thursday
PAYE Rates:
Basic: £35.81 (Days) / £43.87 (Nights)
OT1: £50.13
OT2: £64.46
Bonus Potential (up to): £5.37 p/hr
Additional Payments and Holidays
Lodge: £53.39 p/night / £373.73 p/week – if eligible
Travel: Return Fare & Travel Time each month – if eligible
Holidays: 190 hours per annum + Public/Bank
Expected start will be mid-September, subject to vetting and onboarding.
