We are looking for an exceptional Clinical Lead to join our dedicated team, on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave.
As Clinical Lead, you will play a key role in supporting the Home Manager, leading the nursing team, promoting clinical excellence, and creating a positive environment where both residents and colleagues can thrive.
As our Clinical Lead, you will:
- Provide strong clinical leadership and act as a role model for the nursing team.
- Deliver and promote high-quality, person-centred care that meets each resident's individual needs.
- Develop, review and maintain accurate care plans that reflect residents' changing physical, emotional and social requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Company policies, NMC standards, CQC regulations and current best practice.
- Lead the nursing team in delivering safe, effective and compassionate care.
- Oversee all aspects of medication management, ensuring medicines are received, stored and administered safely.
- Conduct regular clinical audits and implement improvements where required.
- Investigate incidents, manage risk effectively and ensure accurate clinical documentation.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and promote evidence-based practice throughout the home.
- Act as a mentor, supervisor and coach, supporting the development of nurses and care staff.
- Coordinate induction, mandatory training, clinical supervision and ongoing professional development.
- Carry out staff appraisals and contribute to performance management.
- Promote a positive, supportive and professional culture within the home.
- Deputise for the Home Manager or Deputy Manager when required.
- Support NMC revalidation and encourage continuous learning across the nursing team.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current NMC registration with a valid PIN.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience within a care home or similar healthcare environment.
- Excellent clinical knowledge and sound decision-making skills.
- A thorough understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding, infection prevention and clinical governance.
- Outstanding communication, organisational and leadership abilities.
- A genuine commitment to delivering exceptional care and achieving positive outcomes for residents.
- A passion for mentoring, developing and inspiring others.
