Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Dental Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dental clinic. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the practice, maintaining high standards of patient care, and leading a dedicated team. Duties
- Supervise and lead the administrative and clinical staff, fostering a positive team environment
- Oversee daily practice operations, including appointment scheduling, patient flow, and compliance with health and safety regulations
- Manage financial aspects such as budgeting, billing, and procurement of supplies
- Implement and monitor policies related to human resources, including recruitment, training, and staff development
- Ensure high standards of patient care and satisfaction are maintained at all times
- Coordinate with dental practitioners and support staff to optimise workflow efficiency
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with legal and professional standards
- Handle patient queries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including data protection and health & safety regulations, CQC regulations, GDC regulations
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a healthcare or veterinary environment
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively
- Experience in financial management, including budgeting and billing processes
- Knowledge of human resources practices such as recruitment, training, and staff appraisal
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Previous experience in a dental practice management is highly desirable but not essential
- Relevant qualifications in healthcare management or business administration are advantageous
