Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Office Manager to oversee daily administrative operations within our organisation. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in various office software. The Office Manager will be responsible for maintaining smooth office functions, supporting staff, and ensuring effective communication across departments.
Duties
- Manage day-to-day administrative tasks including scheduling, correspondence, and filing systems
- Oversee office supplies inventory and place orders as necessary to ensure smooth operations
- Handle incoming calls with professional phone etiquette and direct enquiries appropriately
- Maintain accurate data entry records using programmes such as Microsoft Office. Update our production control system , training will be given. Collate parts orders and pack for shipment
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and take minutes when required
- Support staff with administrative needs such as document preparation and organisational support
- Ensure the office environment remains tidy, organised, and welcoming for staff and visitors
- Implement organisational procedures to improve workflow efficiency
Experience
- Proven experience in an office environment or administrative role
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace applications
- Experience with Sage or similar accounting software is desirable
- Demonstrated clerical experience including data entry, filing, and document management
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Good typing speed and accuracy for efficient document processing
- Familiarity with office equipment such as printers, scanners, and telephony systems
- Previous experience handling phone calls professionally and courteously is essential
This position requires a dedicated individual capable of managing multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining a professional attitude. Candidates should be organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
