We are seeking a professional and welcoming Hotel Receptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for delivering exceptional guest services and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures
- Manage guest reservations, cancellations, and modifications efficiently
- Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions
- Handle guest enquiries via phone, email, or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Process payments accurately using the hotel’s booking system
- Address guest concerns promptly to ensure a positive experience
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the reception area
- Collaborate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to meet guest needs
- Uphold security procedures by verifying guest identities and managing access control
Skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills, including strong phone etiquette
- Organisation skills with attention to detail in reservation management and record keeping
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to assist diverse guests effectively
- Previous hotel experience or background in guest services is advantageous but not essential
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
- Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and customer service excellence
