Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Depot Manager to oversee the daily operations of our depot. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient management of resources, maintaining high standards of service, and leading a team to achieve operational excellence. This role requires strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Manage all aspects of depot operations, including logistics, inventory management, and staff supervision.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Monitor performance metrics and prepare reports for senior management.
- Lead, train, and motivate a team of employees to achieve performance targets.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of depot activities, including stock levels and equipment maintenance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a managerial role within a logistics or warehouse environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in using inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of service.
- A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential.
