The Role:
The Royal Alexandra and Albert School exists to give our children a distinctly different start in life, preparing them for the world with hope, optimism, compassion and empathy.
We are a co-educational, non-selective state boarding school, for boys and girls aged 7 - 18,. This is a boarding school with Flexi Boarding students attending from the local area and a lively community of around 400 Full Boarders passionately involved in a wide range of after-school and weekend activities and trips.
Our Ofsted inspection of March 2024 states ”pupils are happy and well cared for at Royal Alexandra and Albert School. They benefit from positive relationships with staff across the school. Pupils feel safe, confident that if they report any concerns or worries they will be dealt with”.

The Role:
We believe that every child’s success starts with consistent attendance, and we are looking for a dedicated Attendance Officer to help us support and monitor student attendance to ensure our students are on the path to achievement.
The School Attendance Officer will be responsible for overseeing and managing the attendance of students, ensuring that they attend school regularly and punctually. The successful candidate will work closely with students, parents, and staff to address attendance issues, identify patterns, and implement strategies to improve overall school attendance.
Working hours for this role are Fridays 8am - 4pm and alternate Saturdays 8.30 - 11.30am.
The successful candidate will:
- Be passionate about supporting students to improve their attendance
- Have experience working with school data systems e.g. SIMs, Go4Schools
- Be a committed team player with excellent organisational and specialist technical skills
