HGV CLASS 2 DRIVER – DUSTCART / STAINES
We are recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 (Category C) Dustcart Drivers for a waste collection operation based in Staines. This role involves both driving and assisting with loading, working as part of a team on daily collection routes.
This is an ongoing opportunity offering consistent weekday work with optional Saturdays. Immediate starts available.
- Role: HGV Class 2 Driver (Dustcart)
- Contract Type: Temporary / Ongoing
- Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (Saturday optional)
- Start Time: 05:30 AM (06:00 AM on the road)
- Finish Time: Around 14:00 (earlier finishes possible depending on route)
PAY
Standard Rate – Weekday (Mon–Fri)
- Basic Hourly Rate: £18.00
- Holiday Pay (Rolled Up): £2.51
- Total Hourly Pay (Inclusive): £20.51
- Overtime: Not applicable
- Pay Frequency: Weekly
RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
- Driving HGV Class 2 dustcart vehicles
- Assisting with loading bins and waste collection
- Working as part of a crew on planned routes
- Ensuring safe and efficient collection of waste
- Conducting daily vehicle checks
- Following health & safety procedures at all times
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence
- Valid CPC Card
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Maximum 6 penalty points (no major endorsements)
- Previous dustcart driving experience essential
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
- Reliable, punctual and team-focused
COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS
- Must complete a driving assessment (approx. 45 minutes)
- Induction required prior to starting
- Must sign health & safety documentation before first shift
