We are looking for a Purchasing Administrator to join our current team in Leighton Buzzard.
The duties involve:
- Creating and sending Purchase Orders
- Chasing suppliers for order confirmations, and deliveries. Confident telephone manner essential.
- Booking deliveries in on system
- Reconcile supplier invoices against delivery notes, must have a keen eye for detail and spot any discrepancies
- Updating the system with new prices and product amendments
- Dealing with general enquiries
- Keeping records of deliveries due in
- Arranging collections with suppliers
- Liaise with suppliers for best prices
- Dealing with suppliers on a daily basis by telephone, building good relationships
- Update excel spreadsheets
- Any ad hoc duties to help Purchasing Manager
The ideal candidate will be well organised, with accurate data input skills, be computer literate with knowledge of excel. Previous experience in Purchasing is not essential, although admin experience would be extremely beneficial.
This is an excellent opportunity to learn all aspects of Purchasing and work within a busy, friendly office environment.
Full training will be given for the suitable candidate.
Hours of work are 9am to 4.30pm with a 30 min unpaid lunchbreak. We can be flexible on hours of work.
