Apex Self Storage has been providing self-storage solutions to customers in the North West of England since 1999. We currently operate seven self-storage centres in Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Derbyshire and are growing.
We are looking for an Assistant Manager in the Manchester area to join our team that has excellent communication skills along with the personality and ability to sell and able to provide the excellent customer service that we pride ourselves on.
Many different people use self-storage from students and people moving house to small, medium and large businesses and we are looking for a person who is adaptable and is comfortable dealing with many different types of customers.
Key Principles:
- To maintain a clear focus on sales performance and contribute towards overall store performance through all revenue streams.
- To ensure that Apex store standards are always adhered to.
- To understand implement all policies, procedures and routines.
- To always provide excellent customer service and always exceed customer expectations.
Main Accountabilities:
- Sales - To maximise and seek out opportunities to increase sales and to achieve sales targets, ensuring that company sales standards are put into practice at every opportunity.
- Standards – To maintain the site standards, ensuring that the daily, weekly and monthly procedures are adhered to.
- Marketing – Always promote the features and benefits of using Apex Self Storage to all customers and to build and maintain a professional relationship with associated businesses.
- Customer Service – To be fully focused on delivering an excellent customer service and exceed the customers’ expectations by ensuring that any service-related issues are dealt with promptly and resolved to a satisfactory conclusion for all concerned.
- Security, Health &Safety – To assist in the operation of a safe and secure environment for both our customers and staff by ensuring that all procedures in place are followed and legal requirements are complied with. To ensure all maintenance issues are reported and dealt with in a timely manner.
- Compliance / Administration – To adhere to and comply with all company policies, procedures and routines. All records must be maintained and filed in accordance rules and all new initiatives must be successfully implemented and maintained.
- Personal – To adhere to company dress code and to ensure full participation in company training schedules.
Skills and Qualifications:
· Customer Focus: Ability to interact with customers from all walks of life. Treating each customer as individuals, addressing their needs and concerns effectively.
· Communication: Excellent communication skills with both customers and colleagues. Handling phone calls, emails and messages efficiently and accurately.
· Self-motivation: Work confidently with minimal supervision, taking initiative in the absence of the store manager.
· Maintenance Skills: Ability to perform light maintenance and cleaning tasks within the facility.
Experience in self-storage is not essential as full induction and training will be given to the successful person.
