Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pizza Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation and kitchen operations, with a particular focus on pizza making. Duties
- Prepare and cook authentic pizzas according to established recipes and customer specifications
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including dough, sauces, and toppings
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Operate kitchen equipment efficiently and safely during meal preparation
- Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation
- Support the team during busy service periods, ensuring timely delivery of orders
- Contribute to menu development by suggesting new pizza varieties and toppings
- Serve customers directly when required, providing excellent customer service and product knowledge
Qualifications
- Proven experience in cooking, particularly within a restaurant or catering environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety procedures and hygiene standards
- Experience in meal and food preparation, with an emphasis on pizza or similar cuisine preferred
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team
- Previous experience in serving customers is advantageous but not essential
- Culinary experience demonstrating creativity and attention to detail is highly valued
